Israel Prepares the First Step for War… Has the Red Sea Battle Begun?

NYN | News

As the deadline given by the Houthis (Ansar Allah) to Israel approaches, the Israeli entity enters a new phase of anxiety and anticipation, amidst rising chances of a painful Yemeni strike that could reshuffle the cards of the regional conflict.

The Hebrew newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth” revealed that Israel is preparing for the possibility of the Yemeni threat being carried out, which could mean the renewal of the maritime blockade imposed by the Houthis on shipping routes to the Israeli entity, in addition to the potential resumption of missile and drone launches from Yemen.

The newspaper noted that Israel’s preparations for potential strikes from Sana’a rely on close coordination with the U.S. Central Command in anticipation of any forthcoming Yemeni operation, while Jewish officials admit their increasing concern about Yemen’s direct and strong involvement in the confrontation.

According to the newspaper, Israel has attacked Yemeni territories five times during the ongoing war, but these strikes failed to break the will of Sana’a, which has proven its ability to overcome damages and escalate its challenges. Houthi leaders affirm that they are moving toward a “second round” of confrontation, which will be more impactful and painful.

The Israeli statements reflect the extent of confusion and fear of a possible Yemeni escalation that could open the doors for a broader confrontation, at a time when Israel is suffering from internal and external crises, while Sana’a remains steadfast in its position that the aggression must stop and the blockade lifted before any talks of de-escalation.
