Concerns are growing within Israeli circles over possible attacks that could be launched by the Houthi movement, Ansar Allah, similar to the events of October 7, under a new operation reportedly named “Al-Aqsa Storm,” according to the Hebrew-language site Ynet.
The site reported on Friday that Israeli fears extend beyond the ongoing airstrikes in Yemen, as officials believe those operations will not be sufficient to resolve the threat.
It noted Israel’s usual claim that Iran is developing a protected production model within Yemen, including underground factories for manufacturing missiles and drones.
According to the report, the current situation is raising serious concerns that forces in Sanaa may be conducting training exercises aimed at simulating an updated version of the October 7 attack, which could potentially be launched from the east through Jordanian or Syrian territory, or even from both directions simultaneously.
Last Thursday, Israel launched a wide-scale aerial attack targeting several residential neighborhoods and civilian facilities in Sanaa, resulting in the martyrdom of 11 civilians and the injury of 205 others, most of whom were women and children.
