Just 3 Hours After Houthi Threat… Mysterious Collision Rocks the U.S. Navy’s Most Powerful Aircraft Carrier in the Mediterranean!

NYN | News

The U.S. aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, one of the largest naval units in the Sixth Fleet, collided with an unidentified commercial vessel in international waters near the Egyptian coast in the Mediterranean Sea, less than three hours after a televised speech by Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, in which he threatened to “deter any attempt to displace Palestinians” and declared his readiness for “direct military intervention” if President Trump insisted on moving forward with his alleged plan.

The U.S. Navy confirmed that the incident occurred today with no casualties or significant damage to the carrier, while the commander of the Sixth Fleet, in a brief statement, mentioned that “an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collision,” without revealing the identity or nationality of the commercial vessel.

However, international security sources linked the timing of the incident to the statements from Sana’a, where al-Houthi warned that “any Arab acceptance of the displacement plan will be met with the force of arms,” adding, “We will not hesitate to carry out our threat.”

Despite Washington’s confirmation that the incident was “accidental,” military analysts dismissed the coincidence of it occurring in a region with heavy Russian and Chinese presence, and just hours after al-Houthi’s threat.

In a related development, Western diplomatic sources revealed international concern over the possibility of the Houthis using the “Red Sea card” once again, following their recent threats, especially with the positioning of the U.S. aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean—near their previous area of operations—opening the door for interpretations of an “indirect warning message.”
