Houthi movement leader, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, stated that Washington has given permission for Israel to enter the Rafah crossing, and that the entry is not only targeting Palestinians but is also a demonstration against the Egyptian people and army.
Al-Houthi added in a televised speech on Thursday, “The invasion of the Rafah crossing is a challenge to Egypt and poses a threat to its security, as it violates and exceeds the agreements with Egypt.”
He continued, “The Americans pretend to pressure the Israeli enemy regarding Rafah despite supplying it with a huge stockpile of weapons.”
He pointed out that “the occupation of the Rafah crossing will not achieve any military accomplishment for the enemy because it is a civilian area and not a military front for the mujahideen.”
He explained that “the enemy’s progress in parts of Rafah will not achieve any military achievement, as the resistance of the mujahideen continues even in the northern sector.”
Meanwhile, Al-Houthi considered it the responsibility of Arabs and Muslims “to take practical additional steps against the enemy in response to its targeting of residents and displaced people in Rafah.” He clarified that “in the face of aggression against Rafah, Arab countries have many political, diplomatic, and economic options.”
He added on this aspect, “If Arab regimes do not dare to adopt any position, then they should give their people space, and they will move significantly.”
