New Concern in Tel Aviv Over a New Move by Sana’a

NYN | News

The Hebrew news site Ynet News has revealed that Yemen’s Houthi movement (Ansar Allah) has recently escalated its rhetoric and threats toward Israel, notably through military drills simulating scenarios similar to those used by Hezbollah in Lebanon. This escalation comes amid regional shifts in Tehran’s strategy following the repositioning of the Syrian regime.

In a report published yesterday, the site noted that Ansar Allah broadcast video clips showing its fighters conducting training exercises on motorcycles, including raids on buildings simulating hypothetical “Israeli” targets.

The report described these exercises as part of the group’s field readiness for a potential direct confrontation with Israel.

There is a noticeable increase in the attention paid by Hebrew media to statements and activities coming from the Houthis, reflecting a growing sense of concern within Israeli circles about this unconventional southern front—which is now considered a legitimate threat within the broader regional deterrence equation.

Israel’s interest goes beyond military considerations, also reflecting broader fears of the expanding influence of the Resistance Axis and its narrative reaching new arenas.
