The mother of Mohammed Sadiq Al-Makhlafi, the accused in the case of the killing of the director of the Sanitation Fund in the city of Taiz, Iftihan Al-Mashhary, revealed new details today about the circumstances surrounding her son’s death. She confirmed that he was executed after being wounded, right before her eyes, and in the presence of witnesses.
She stated that her son did not fire a single bullet during the confrontation, except for throwing two grenades, and was attempting to flee, according to her account. She called on the investigation committee to examine his weapon to verify the accuracy of her statement.
She also revealed that her son had sent her video clips before his death, which he considered a personal will, asking her not to release them unless he died. She noted that it was one of his uncles who published the clips after the incident.
She called for a fair and transparent investigation to uncover the full details of what happened and to ensure justice for all.
