Informed sources in the capital, Sana’a, have confirmed that Yemen will not adhere to a policy of restraint in response to U.S. airstrikes targeting residential areas. They emphasized that retaliation for this aggression will not be delayed and that Sana’a retains its full right to respond appropriately to this crime.
In an exclusive statement to “New Yemen News,” the sources stated: “Sana’a does not merely reserve the right to respond; retaliation against U.S. aggression and the targeting of residential areas will not be delayed. This is a legitimate right guaranteed by international law.”
Commenting on recent U.S. statements, the sources added: “Yemen did not waver in the face of four U.S. aircraft carriers accompanied by dozens of military destroyers and the pride of American aviation. How then could it be shaken by empty threats from Trump?”—a remark downplaying the significance of the threats made by the U.S. president.
The sources warned that targeting civilians in Sana’a is a futile and ineffective strategy, stressing that the U.S. must bear full responsibility for this blatant aggression. They affirmed that Sana’a will not remain silent in the face of attacks on innocent people and that the response will be proportionate to the crime.
The sources further pointed out that the Yemeni people, who have endured years of conflict against the coalition, will not stand idly by in the face of any new escalation, regardless of who is behind it. They concluded by stating that the coming days will bring an appropriate and painful response to those responsible for this aggression.
