The Hebrew site JDN reported that Chief of Staff of the Israeli military, Eyal Zamir, held intensive discussions in recent days regarding Yemen, amid growing fears within Israeli society about the potential resumption of Yemeni attacks.
Message of Reassurance to Settlers
According to the site, the Israeli military sought to reassure settlers worried about renewed bombardments by hinting at advanced military preparations to address any forthcoming developments.
Preparing a “Target Bank” in Yemen
The report indicated that the Israeli military is working on establishing sites within what it calls a “target bank” inside Yemen, in coordination with intelligence agencies and the Air Force, as part of plans being prepared in anticipation of potential escalation.
Gaza Sparks Renewed Israeli Anxiety
This comes as internal assessments within the Israeli occupation increasingly suggest that the continued airstrikes on Gaza, daily killings, and the blockade may prompt Yemen to resume attacks, despite nearly four months having passed since the ceasefire agreement, which the occupation has not fully honored.
