Israeli media reported strong explosions in Tel Aviv early Thursday morning, amid reports of a drone attack launched from Yemen.

Israeli reports confirmed hearing loud explosions in the greater Tel Aviv area, though no sirens were activated.

The reports indicated that the city was struck by a swarm of drones, with sirens sounding in Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv, warning of a new attack. This second attack occurred just minutes after a previous one targeting Tel Aviv’s coastal area.

Israeli media added that fighter jets and helicopters were flying at very low altitudes over Tel Aviv skies after the air defenses failed to intercept the drones coming from Yemen. The air force has been engaged in attempts to respond to the ongoing attack.

At the same time, occupation authorities urged Tel Aviv residents to stay close to fortified areas due to the continuing attack, with reports of an increasing number of drones penetrating Israeli airspace.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, residents in central Israel reported hearing explosions that reached areas such as Herzliya and Petah Tikva.

Later, sirens were again activated in Bat Yam, warning of another drone attack. Israeli emergency services stated that they were dispatched to the Bat Yam area to treat injuries resulting from a rush to shelters in Tel Aviv.

Israeli media released footage showing the moment of violent explosions in Tel Aviv following the drone arrivals. Israeli social media users shared videos documenting air defense attempts to intercept the drones, which were reported to have been launched from Yemen.

Additionally, Israeli media reported hearing the sound of four explosions so far in the Tel Aviv area.
