Sana’a forces announced on Monday the execution of a wide-scale aerial attack targeting sensitive Israeli sites, in response to the ongoing massacres committed in the Gaza Strip, as well as the recent Israeli airstrike on the port of Hodeidah in western Yemen.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for Sana’a forces, stated in a military communiqué that the drone air force carried out a qualitative military operation targeting Ben Gurion Airport (Lod), a military site in the Tel Aviv (Jaffa) area, in addition to the Port of Eilat (Umm al-Rashrash), Ramon Airport, and a vital facility in Ashdod. He confirmed that the operation was carried out using five drones and “successfully achieved its objectives, by the grace of God.”
Saree emphasized that this attack is in retaliation for the genocide being perpetrated by the Israeli entity against civilians in Gaza, and also in direct response to the Israeli aggression targeting civilian facilities at Yemen’s Hodeidah port.
He added that Yemen, which has remained steadfast in the face of aggression and blockade in recent months, will continue to fulfill its religious and humanitarian duty to support the oppressed Palestinian people, and that its operations will not cease until the aggression against Gaza ends and the siege is lifted.
Sana’a forces affirmed their full readiness to confront any new hostile moves, stressing that any attack on Yemen or attempts to obstruct its support for Palestine will be met with a strong and immediate response.
This strike signals a new phase of Yemeni escalation against Israel, particularly after the Israeli air raids on Hodeidah port, which observers described as a direct message aimed at curbing Sana’a’s support for Hamas and the Palestinian resistance.
