The leader of the Houthi group (Ansar Allah) has disclosed a new confrontation with the American aircraft carrier USS Truman this week, marking the third of its kind and the sixth overall in the history of clashes with U.S. aircraft carriers.
Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi stated that the confrontation coincided with U.S. preparations for large-scale aggressive operations against Yemen, which were thwarted, as he put it, “by the grace of God.”
He added that this week saw a significant tactical achievement, as the USS Truman carried out a rapid retreat following the attack. All fighter jets that had taken off from the carrier to conduct aggressive missions were called back.
The USS Truman made a sudden maneuver, altering its course toward the far northern Red Sea. This move, according to the Houthis (Ansar Allah), is evidence of the failure of American aggressive plans.
