The Ministry of Health in the Sanaa-based government announced this evening that U.S. airstrikes on Yemen over the past two days have resulted in 36 civilian casualties, mostly women and children, including 18 martyrs, following attacks on the provinces of Hudaydah, Dhamar, and Sanaa.
The ministry noted a significant escalation in U.S. aggression in recent days, with a series of intense air raids targeting infrastructure and residential areas, leaving widespread destruction.
The Ministry of Health called on the international community to urgently intervene to stop the aggression, holding the United States accountable for the crimes committed against civilians. It emphasized that the continued targeting of civilians constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.
This escalation comes as part of a military campaign that has been ongoing for weeks, led by the United States under the pretext of protecting international shipping routes, while the real objective is to shield the Israeli entity from attacks carried out by Sanaa’s forces in support of Gaza.
