Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, affirmed that the U.S. aggression against Yemen had failed from its very first day, revealing that intelligence information obtained prior to the strikes enabled the foiling of the attack and the avoidance of major imminent damage.
Al-Mashat disclosed what he described as a “crushing blow” to the U.S. military presence in the Red Sea, stating that the American aircraft carrier “Truman” went out of control in the early days of the aggression, adding: “We have confirmed information that the Truman is now out of service.”
He noted that part of the attacks were launched from the Truman, while the rest originated from other bases, which Yemeni armed forces are closely monitoring.
In a notable stance, Al-Mashat reaffirmed Sana’a’s unwavering support for Gaza, declaring: “We will not allow the Americans or Israelis to isolate the Palestinian people… Neither you nor your father, Trump, can stop us from fulfilling our humanitarian and religious duty towards the people of Gaza, no matter the cost.”
Regarding the impact of the U.S. strikes on the defensive infrastructure, Al-Mashat confirmed that the attacks did not affect military capabilities even by 1%, emphasizing that most of Washington’s targets were civilian.
He pointed out that Sana’a’s forces are at the highest levels of readiness, adding: “We are monitoring all movements and preparing for every scenario. By God’s will, we have the strength of leadership, the strength of the people, and the justice of our cause.”
In a significant development, Al-Mashat revealed that Sana’a has successfully developed domestically produced missiles that the latest U.S. electromagnetic technology failed to intercept — the same technology the U.S. touts as a counter to Beijing and Moscow.
He also vowed that Yemen would soon bring down the advanced American B-2 stealth bomber using advanced Yemeni weaponry.
At the end of his speech, Al-Mashat announced that Sana’a’s Humanitarian Operations Center would issue a sanctions list targeting U.S. arms and oil companies, stressing that Sana’a has the necessary tools to counter illegal U.S. sanctions, reassuring the public that a response is coming on all levels.
