Sana’a Forces Reveal Upcoming Major Strikes Against U.S. Forces

NYN | News

Sana’a forces announced on Tuesday evening that they had downed a U.S. MQ-9 drone while it was carrying out “hostile missions” off the coast of Hajjah Governorate, confirming that the operation was conducted using a domestically made surface-to-air missile.

The military spokesperson for Sana’a forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, stated in an official communiqué: “With God’s help, our air defenses succeeded in shooting down an American MQ-9 reconnaissance drone. This is the seventh aircraft of this type to be downed in April, and the twenty-second since the launch of Operation ‘Promised Conquest’ in support of Gaza.”

Saree added that missile forces and the drone air force, alongside naval units, had carried out two military operations targeting the American aircraft carriers USS Truman and USS Vinson and their accompanying strike groups in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea, using cruise missiles and drones.

He affirmed that “Sana’a forces continue to confront the American aggression in support of the Palestinian people, and our military position today is stronger than it was weeks ago,” pointing to the success of these operations in disrupting enemy movements and thwarting several of their attacks.

The statement emphasized that military operations will continue until “the aggression on Gaza stops and the blockade is lifted,” adding that Sana’a forces are responding to developments with full responsibility at all levels, and “will not cease their support for the Palestinian people.”
