The Sanaa government announced on Saturday the postponement of releasing around 100 prisoners from the forces of the Aden government, backed by the Saudi-Emirati coalition, to Sunday, after previously declaring its intention to release them on Saturday as part of a humanitarian initiative.
The head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs, affiliated with the Ministry of Defense in the Sanaa government, stated on the “X” platform that “due to some technical procedures, the implementation of the initiative has been postponed to Sunday morning.”
Al-Mortada had said on Friday that they would carry out a “unilateral humanitarian initiative in which more than 100 prisoners from the other party’s prisoners will be released.”
