Sana’a Issues Decision Banning Air Traffic Over Ben Gurion Airport

NYN | News

The Sanaa forces have warned all airlines against using Ben Gurion Airport in the occupied Tel Aviv-Jaffa area, stating that the airport is no longer safe for air traffic.

Brigadier Yahya Saree, the official spokesperson for Sanaa’s forces, declared that the airport will remain unsafe until the aggression on Gaza stops and the blockade is lifted. He noted that the attack on the airport was part of a series of military operations in response to Israel’s assault on the Palestinian people.

Saree explained that Yemen’s armed forces launched a hypersonic ballistic missile, named “Palestine 2,” at Ben Gurion Airport. He confirmed that the operation successfully achieved its objective, emphasizing that this was the third attack by Sanaa’s forces on Israeli targets within 48 hours.

In a press statement, Saree added that this operation was also part of Yemen’s response to American aggression. He revealed that the Yemeni Air Force carried out a military operation targeting several warships affiliated with the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman using multiple drones.

Saree continued: “Amid ongoing U.S. aggression, airstrikes have targeted several Yemeni provinces in a desperate attempt to prevent Yemen from supporting the Palestinian people in Gaza.” He affirmed that these attacks would not deter Sanaa’s forces from continuing to back Palestinian resistance.

Concluding his statement, Saree reiterated the Yemeni Armed Forces’ unwavering belief in Palestinian resilience, saying: “We stand in deep reverence before the sacrifices of the Palestinian people and their legendary steadfastness in Gaza. We pledge to God that we will continue to support them until the aggression stops and the blockade on Gaza is lifted—no matter the consequences.”
