The armed forces in Sanaa have just issued a clear stance on the escalating regional tensions, warning that any direct U.S. intervention in support of the “Israeli enemy” to launch an attack on Iran will be met with an immediate response, including targeting American ships and warships in the Red Sea.
In a statement released by the Sanaa-based armed forces, it was declared that “the battle with the Zionist entity is no longer confined to Palestine alone, but has become the battle of the entire nation, confronting an American-Israeli project aimed at subjugating the region, dismantling the resistance, and imposing total dominance.”
The statement emphasized that Sanaa will not remain idle in the face of a large-scale aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, asserting that such an attack would amount to a broader war targeting the region’s peoples, identity, and sovereignty — not Iran alone.
The Yemeni forces stressed they are closely monitoring military movements in the region and will not hesitate to take appropriate measures in defense of Yemeni sovereignty and in response to any direct or indirect threats.
Support for Palestinian Resistance and Regional Solidarity
The statement carried clear messages, most notably Sanaa’s firm support for the Palestinian resistance in Gaza and its outright rejection of any attempts to impose a new reality that serves the interests of the “usurping entity” under an American umbrella.
It stated: “We will not abandon our brothers in the Gaza Strip, and we will not allow the criminal, U.S.-backed entity to push through its schemes. The battle is one, the enemy is one, and Yemen’s position in support of the nation’s causes remains unwavering.”
The leadership in Sanaa also praised the positions of Iran and the Lebanese and Syrian resistance, stating that the ongoing developments are part of a “larger battle, whose central goal is the freedom of the nation and the independence of its decision-making.”
A New Deterrence Equation
In a direct warning, Sanaa’s forces established a new deterrence equation, declaring that “any American aggression against Iran will prompt a direct response targeting U.S. military interests in the Red Sea.”
The statement, issued at a critical regional juncture, reaffirmed what it described as “the legitimate right to defend the nation against the project of domination,” asserting that Yemen — with its people, leadership, and armed forces — will serve as a stronghold for any Arab or Islamic resistance movement confronting Zionist arrogance.
