Sanaa Prepares for the Worst, Awaiting an American Misstep!

NYN | Reports and analyses
Sanaa is bracing for a prolonged battle with U.S. forces, amid escalating military preparations and open-ended escalation options to counter any new attacks.
The leader of the Houthis (Ansar Allah), Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, sent a strong message to the United States and Israel, warning that continued American aggression against Yemen would push the country toward more painful and troubling escalation options. He affirmed that Yemen would not stand idly by in the face of what the Palestinian people in Gaza are enduring.
In a televised speech, al-Houthi stated: “The message of our people today is clear to the Americans and Israelis. As Yemenis, we will not allow the Israeli entity to single out the Palestinian people.”
He added: “If the Americans continue their aggression against our country in support of the Israeli entity, they are pushing us to respond with additional escalation—greater and more impactful.”
Al-Houthi asserted that a U.S. aircraft carrier fled to the far north of the Red Sea, a distance of 1,300 km, after engaging with Sanaa’s forces. He warned that if U.S. aggression continues, there will be severe and troubling escalation steps that the Americans will face.
He also explained that the ban on Israeli-linked shipping was just the first step, and if Gaza’s famine continues, Yemen’s response will go beyond that.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Defense in Sanaa’s government, Major General Mohammed al-Atifi, stated that the armed forces are fully prepared to escalate the confrontation in line with the scale of the challenge and any emerging situation, in support of Gaza and in enforcing the naval blockade on Israeli-affiliated ships.
Al-Atifi revealed that intelligence agencies have precisely tracked the movements of Israeli-linked vessels and have clear data on the targets to be engaged in upcoming naval operations.
He affirmed that Yemen possesses sufficient capabilities to conduct long-term naval battles using tactics that will leave the enemy in shock. At the same time, he stressed that Yemen’s decision to block Israeli-affiliated ships is firm and has not targeted international shipping in the operational area.
Al-Atifi further noted that the U.S. aggression against Yemen has clearly exposed Washington’s complete alignment with the Israeli entity. He vowed that Israel and the United States would be forced to comply with international laws and ceasefire agreements.
Judging by these statements, it appears that Sanaa’s forces have meticulously prepared a large-scale ambush, anticipating any reckless attempt by the United States to launch a ground assault. This signals a potentially prolonged and complex confrontation should the battlefield expand.
