The Sanaa forces announced this evening that they had carried out a precision missile operation targeting Ben Gurion Airport (“Lod”) in occupied Tel Aviv (“Jaffa”), in retaliation for the Israeli bombing of Hodeidah Port and as part of ongoing responses to the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
The military spokesperson for the Sanaa forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, stated that the operation was executed using two ballistic missiles: one hypersonic missile of the “Palestine 2” type and the other of the “Zulfiqar” type. He confirmed that one of the missiles directly hit Ben Gurion Airport (“Lod”), while Israeli defense systems failed to intercept it.
Saree noted that the operation successfully achieved its objectives, causing a halt in air traffic at the airport and forcing hundreds of thousands of settlers to take shelter in bunkers.
He added that the air traffic ban at Lod Airport remains in effect and renewed the warning to all airlines to immediately suspend flights to and from the targeted airport.
In a further escalation, the Sanaa forces warned against continued operations through the port of Haifa, indicating that it has now been added to their “military target bank” in response to the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Saree concluded the statement by reaffirming the continuation of military operations in support of the Palestinian people, stating that Yemen remains firmly committed to its principled and moral stance until the aggression ends and the blockade on Gaza is lifted.
