Sanaa Sends a Strong Message to Regional Countries

NYN | News

Sanaa has issued an important message to the countries of the region, warning them against being drawn by the United States and Israel into a large-scale, long-term war.

Mahdi al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran reserves its full right to respond to any aggression targeting it—including the interests of countries involved in such acts—emphasizing that any participation in attacks against Iran will be met with painful retaliation.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency Saba on Tuesday evening, al-Mashat warned countries that might align themselves with what he called the “Zionist enemy,” saying: “It is foolish for Israel to drag any country into a confrontation with Iran, because those countries will be the first to pay the price.”

He added: “The era of one-sided strikes is over. Iran’s response today is certain and effective,” noting that the regional balance of deterrence has fundamentally shifted.

Al-Mashat stressed that Iran is not an easy target, but rather a nation with the capabilities and alliances that qualify it to wage a wide-ranging defensive battle. He explained that Iran is now capable of responding and possesses a network of alliances and agreements that strengthen its position in any future confrontation.
