The head of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, Mahdi Al-Mashat, affirmed that the martyrdom of Chief of Staff Mohammed Al-Ghamari will not weaken Sanaa’s position, but will instead strengthen its resolve and power.
In a statement to the Sanaa-based Yemeni News Agency Saba on Monday evening, Al-Mashat said that the pure blood of the martyrs ignites the flame of enthusiasm and strength in the hearts of the free and the fighters, and that it paves the way to victory. He stressed that the martyrdom has not affected military or administrative performance, noting that necessary arrangements were made efficiently and smoothly within the first few hours.
He added that Al-Ghamari was not alone, and that Ansar Allah has many capable leaders and men like him. He described the group’s movement as a “blessed Quranic path” that will continue with firmness and strength regardless of the challenges or sacrifices.
Al-Mashat stated that targeting the Sanaa government or its citizens does not constitute a success for the “Zionist enemy,” as he put it, despite what it claims. He emphasized that the situation is under control and that security agencies have swiftly addressed the security breaches.
He also accused the United States of exploiting and weaponizing UN humanitarian operations in service of the Zionist enemy. According to his statement, security agencies have now completely closed off this vulnerability.
