The leader of the Houthi movement (Ansar Allah), Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, in Yemen, issued strong warnings against the alleged U.S. plan to displace Palestinians, describing it as “part of the Zionist expansionist project targeting holy sites, primarily Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
His statements were made during an urgent speech broadcast on Al-Masirah TV, where he threatened direct military intervention if Washington succeeded in pushing through its plan.
Al-Houthi confirmed that his group “will intervene militarily to prevent the implementation of the American plan if it is approved,” adding that they “will not stand idly by and will act within the framework of their jihadi duty.”
He linked the U.S. plan to what he called “bargaining and procrastination,” warning that Washington might resort to “delaying rather than canceling” the plan.
Al-Houthi held the Arab countries, particularly those neighboring Palestine, historically responsible for thwarting the plan, stating: “Its success depends on Arab acceptance, and any approval would be a great betrayal and partnership in the crime of displacement.”
He praised the Arab countries that declared their rejection of the plan, emphasizing that “the most important thing is to remain steadfast and not retreat.”
The Houthi leader described Trump’s plan as “catastrophic,” asserting that “any Arab acceptance would exacerbate the crises in the region.” He called for “directing all efforts to support the Palestinian people and the fighters.”
He reiterated that his group’s position is “principled and steadfast in supporting the Palestinian cause,” noting that they will support it “with everything they can.”
In his speech, he also stated that Trump threatened the Palestinian people and resistance movements with aggression if they did not release all prisoners by Saturday, and he accused Trump of promising them hell. He added, “Hell is yours, Trump, you disbeliever, criminal, tyrant, and clown, even disregarding the agreement you guaranteed to implement.”
