In a televised speech this Thursday afternoon, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of the Ansar Allah movement (Houthis), declared that the Israeli aggression on Gaza constitutes “the crime of the century,” committed openly before the eyes and ears of the world. He emphasized that the horrifying scenes of genocide compel anyone with a living conscience to take a clear and firm stance.
Al-Houthi stated that the enemy is using “all means of extermination” in its war — with American, British, and German bombs — and relying on Arab fuel and oil, warning that Israel’s threats are no longer confined to the Palestinian arena but now target the entire Islamic nation.
He added that the Palestinian resistance acts as a “safety valve and shield protecting peoples from genocide.”
Criticism of Israeli Actions and Arab Responses
Al-Houthi condemned what he described as Israel’s “ongoing violation” of Syrian territory, saying southern Syria has become “exposed to occupation”, with daily raids and checkpoints reflecting the enemy’s deepening control.
He also warned that recent Israeli threats toward Qatar, following the Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha, effectively mean a violation of all Gulf states and the broader region.
He described the summit’s outcomes as “weak and disappointing,” arguing that they emboldened Israel to escalate its actions. He criticized the reliance on mere statements rather than practical steps — such as cutting ties with Israel, closing airspace, or removing Palestinian factions from terrorism lists — as a reflection of the severe incapacity of Arab and Islamic regimes.
Al-Houthi accused the United States of being a full partner in what he called the “Zionist scheme,” asserting that Washington provides both political cover and unlimited military support to Tel Aviv.
“The American gives no regard to regional countries except in ways that serve Israel,” he said.
Praise for International Solidarity
In contrast, Al-Houthi praised the stances of countries like Spain, Venezuela, Colombia, and South Africa, describing them as “more advanced than many Arab regimes” in their handling of the Palestinian issue.
He described the position of the Spanish Prime Minister as “noteworthy and conscious,” expressing deep sympathy for the Palestinian tragedy. He claimed Venezuela is being targeted by the U.S. under false pretexts such as the war on drugs, while UN reports confirm that the U.S. itself sponsored narcotics activity during its occupation of Afghanistan.
Military Operations and Maritime Warnings
On the ground, Al-Houthi announced that Sanaa’s forces carried out 24 military operations in the past week, including missile and drone attacks, some of which targeted deep inside occupied Palestine. He affirmed that the ban on Israeli ships in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab remains in effect.
Al-Houthi also criticized Saudi Arabia’s recent announcement of a maritime partnership with Britain in the Red Sea, calling it “a move to serve Israeli shipping interests.”
He clarified that Saudi ships have never been targeted, stressing that attacks are limited to Israeli vessels or those involved in the aggression on Yemen.
He issued a stern warning to Riyadh:
“Do not entangle yourselves in protecting Israeli ships — that is a disgrace upon you, and it will fail no matter what you do.”
Final Message and Ideological Stand
Al-Houthi concluded by reaffirming Yemen’s “firm and principled position in the battle of the promised victory and sacred jihad,” warning that any party aligning itself with Israel “will ultimately lose.”
“We are in a historic and decisive phase that will determine the future of the nation — even more than its present,” he said.
