Today, Thursday, the leader of “Ansar Allah,” Abdul Malik al-Houthi, delivered a televised speech addressing the latest developments of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, as well as regional and international developments related to the Palestinian cause, alongside Yemen’s supportive stance for the resistance.
“Genocide and a Suffocating Siege”
The leader of Ansar Allah accused Israel of continuing what he described as a “genocide” against the Palestinian people, pointing out that the war has entered a dangerous phase after nearly two years, despite growing global outrage.
He explained that the number of casualties has exceeded 2,500 martyrs and injured, most of whom are women and children, with ongoing targeting of displaced people and besieged neighborhoods in Gaza City. He also highlighted that starvation has become a systematic method in the aggression, alongside the comprehensive destruction of residential neighborhoods and forced displacement operations.
“Violation of Holy Sites and the West Bank”
Al-Houthi referred to Israeli violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque, stating that settlers “continued provocative rituals including blowing the horn inside the Al-Aqsa courtyards,” while also noting ongoing arrest and torture operations in the West Bank, in addition to demographic change attempts through the displacement of camp residents and Bedouins.
“Rejection of the Trump Plan”
On the political front, the Ansar Allah leader considered the recently reintroduced “Trump Plan” to be aimed solely at “confiscating Palestinian rights,” asserting that it does not even recognize the Palestinian Authority and seeks to disarm the resistance and leave Gaza “exposed and devoid of any resistant presence.”
He criticized the American and Israeli pressures on Arab regimes to disarm factions, calling it “a betrayal and service to the enemy.”
“International Position and Popular Protests”
Abdul Malik al-Houthi praised popular stances in several European and Latin American countries, specifically mentioning labor unions in Italy and the Slovenian government’s decision to ban Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s entry.
He also considered the position of the Colombian president, who called for forming an army to liberate Palestine and cutting ties with Israel, to be “more advanced than the positions of most Arab and Muslim leaders.”
“Yemeni Support Operations”
Regarding the Yemeni position, al-Houthi announced that Sana’a forces carried out 18 military operations last week, involving missiles and drones targeting Israeli sites and maritime targets.
He confirmed that the total number of ships targeted since the start of operations has reached 228 ships, as part of preventing navigation toward Israeli ports via the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb, and the Gulf of Aden.
He considered these operations to have “achieved significant strategic results in disrupting the Israeli port of Eilat (Umm Rashrash) and impacting the economy.”
Al-Houthi concluded his speech by calling for strengthening popular and official positions supporting the Palestinian cause, warning that “collusion with American and Israeli projects means the nation will lose its freedom and dignity.”
