Shocking UN Allegation: Trump Encourages Sana’a to “Swallow” the Region… What is the Hidden Plan?

Hans Grundberg, the UN Special Envoy to Yemen, expressed concern over the US decision to designate the Houthi group (Ansar Allah) as a terrorist organization, considering that this step could reignite the conflict in the country and threaten to extend its impact to the region, particularly neighboring countries, including the Saudi-Emirati coalition.

This came during a statement made by Grundberg on Saturday, where he warned that the American designation could disrupt the paths to a peaceful solution and exacerbate the suffering of Yemeni civilians, who are already struggling to secure basic life necessities. He emphasized that continuing diplomatic efforts and ensuring space for dialogue is the only way to prevent the worsening of the humanitarian disaster.

Referring to his recent efforts, the UN envoy appealed to the UN Security Council to support his initiatives aimed at revitalizing the peace process, calling for greater clarity regarding the motives behind the US decision and its potential consequences.

He also praised the recent cooperation of the Sana’a government after halting naval military operations and releasing the crew of the detained Israeli ship, describing these steps as “the first seeds of trust that must be nurtured to achieve a lasting agreement.”

Grundberg called for the acceleration of the implementation of the internationally agreed-upon roadmap, with a focus on addressing the economic collapse and protecting the mediation process from any external interventions, stressing that Yemen’s stability depends on halting regional escalation and prioritizing the interests of the people.
