Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian signaled the presence of positive indicators following the latest round of negotiations with the United States regarding the nuclear program, pointing to the exchange of “practical proposals” between the two sides, while simultaneously emphasizing Tehran’s readiness to confront any potential developments.
Encouraging Indicators and Exchange of Proposals
In a post published on the platform X, Pezeshkian said that the recent talks with Washington carried “encouraging indicators,” explaining that they included an exchange of ideas and practical proposals — suggesting relative progress in a negotiation track that has been stalled for months.
The Iranian president affirmed that his country is closely monitoring American moves, stressing that Tehran has taken “all necessary preparations for any scenario,” conveying a message that combines cautious optimism with political and diplomatic readiness.
A Defiant Message from the Foreign Minister
For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed his country’s adherence to its negotiating position, writing in a post on the same platform: “Do you wonder why we do not surrender? Because we are Iranian,” signaling the continuation of a steadfast approach in the face of Western pressure.
These statements come at a time when relations between Tehran and Washington are experiencing fluctuations, amid regional and international anticipation over the outcome of the talks concerning Iran’s nuclear file and their potential implications for the security and stability of the region.
