Siren Sounds in Israel… Who Is Behind the Attack?

NYN | News

Sana’a continues to carry out strikes deep inside Israel as part of the pledge it made to support the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip.

On Thursday evening, Sana’a forces announced the execution of a high-profile missile operation targeting Ben Gurion Airport (Lod) in occupied Tel Aviv (Jaffa), using a hypersonic ballistic missile named “Palestine 2.” The attack was carried out in response to Israeli crimes against civilians in Gaza.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the armed forces in Sana’a, said in a military statement that the operation achieved its objectives with precision, resulting in the suspension of airport operations and prompting millions of settlers to flee to shelters.

Saree emphasized that the attack was in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and their fighters, stressing that military operations will continue until Israeli aggression stops and the siege on Gaza is lifted.

At the end of the statement, Sana’a forces called on Arab and Islamic nations to take action in support of Gaza, warning that the silence of the Muslim world would only encourage Israel to continue executing its plans. They affirmed that if the enemy succeeds in Gaza, everyone else will be next.

The statement reiterated their commitment to continuing operations until the aggression ends and the blockade on Gaza is lifted.

On the other hand, Hebrew media reported that sirens were heard across large areas of Greater Tel Aviv and Jerusalem following the missile strike claimed by Sana’a forces.

Social media users circulated videos showing the moment the Yemeni missile arrived and the resulting traffic paralysis caused by widespread panic.

The Hebrew newspaper Maariv reported that Yemen had targeted Israel with missiles for the third time in two days. Meanwhile, Israel Hayom confirmed that Ben Gurion Airport was shut down for over half an hour, completely halting air traffic.

The Israeli financial newspaper Calcalist stated that a plane arriving from Dubai was left hovering in the air, while other planes remained above the Mediterranean Sea due to the missile launch from Yemen.

Calcalist noted that Israel is finding it difficult to dismantle or deter the Yemeni threat, which originates from about 2,000 kilometers away and continues to disrupt the lives of millions of Israelis.

This escalation comes amid ongoing operations promised by Sana’a in support of Gaza and its insistence on continuing to target vital sites deep within Israeli territory.
