Spanish Newspaper: Sanaa’s Stance on Gaza Is Moral and Humanitarian, Exposing the Coalition’s Crimes in Yemen
El Confidencial”: Supporting Palestine Is a Natural Extension of Yemenis’ Struggle Against Siege and Killing

NYN | Reports and Analyses
The Spanish newspaper El Confidencial affirmed in an analytical report that Sanaa’s position in support of Gaza reflects a sincere moral and humanitarian steadfastness, which has helped expose the practices of the Saudi–Emirati coalition in Yemen and reveal its nature—based on killing, siege, and greed for geography and resources.
Defending Palestine… An Extension of Yemen’s Battle for Dignity
The newspaper explained that Sanaa’s backing of Gaza cannot be separated from the broader context of the confrontation waged by the Yemeni people for years in defense of their dignity and right to life. It argued that the stance on Palestine embodies a moral consistency with the suffering of Yemenis subjected to war and a suffocating blockade.
International Reports Document Coalition Crimes
El Confidencial noted that Riyadh, despite promoting a discourse of “stability,” faces documented accusations in international reports related to the targeting of civilian areas and hospitals, and the imposition of a comprehensive blockade in which hunger is used as a weapon of war and collective punishment. These practices have led to the deaths of thousands of civilians, including children.
Targeting the Media and Attempts to Silence Witnesses
The report pointed out that violations have recently included direct shelling of media offices and the killing of 31 journalists during September 2025, in what the newspaper described as attempts to “erase witnesses” and suppress the truth. It emphasized that these crimes did not weaken Yemen’s internal front; rather, they increased social cohesion and unity around Sanaa’s leadership.
Sanaa in Public Opinion: An Anti-Imperialist Force
According to surveys and opinions cited by the newspaper within Yemen, the Palestinian flag has come to symbolically intersect with Sanaa’s stance in confronting what it described as the same “war criminals.” This has contributed to consolidating the image of the Ansar Allah movement as an anti-imperialist force that genuinely stands alongside human rights causes and the oppressed.
A Coalition Fighting Over Influence While Leaving a Humanitarian Tragedy
The report concluded by stressing that the external coalition involved in Yemen remains mired in internal struggles over influence and gains, while leaving behind one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. Meanwhile, Sanaa continues—according to the newspaper’s characterization—to present itself as a party with a coherent moral discourse on regional and humanitarian issues.
