The United States has escalated its airstrikes in Yemen in recent months, but these operations have failed to neutralize the threat posed by Sanaa forces, according to a report by the Hebrew site “Walla,” which described these forces as not merely an armed group but an organized army with advanced military capabilities and extensive experience in confronting attacks.
The report, published on Monday, stated that the Houthis (Ansar Allah) have controlled northern Yemen for more than twenty years and have managed during this period to build an integrated and diverse military system.
It pointed out that these forces rely, in their deployment and positioning, on a strategy similar to that of movements like Hezbollah and Hamas, in terms of distributing centers of military power to avoid air and maritime strikes.
The report explained that the Houthis (Ansar Allah) have developed their defensive and offensive capabilities, including drones and various types of missiles, granting them flexibility in response and making it difficult to target them effectively.
It confirmed that Washington has invested enormous resources in attempts to weaken this structure but faces a challenge with a decentralized army capable of continuing its operations despite repeated targeting.
The report also addressed Saudi and Emirati moves to prepare a ground force that could confront Sanaa forces, but warned that such a confrontation would be arduous and would require significant time and human resources due to the complex and prolonged nature of the conflict.
In conclusion, “Walla” stated that the challenge posed by Houthi forces remains and that talk of an imminent end to this conflict is still far from reality.
