Military exchanges between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel continue to escalate.
On Sunday, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the continuation of a joint offensive operation under the name “Al-Sadiq 3”, in what it described as a direct and decisive response to the “ongoing Zionist evils and aggressions” against the Islamic Republic.
In an official statement, the IRGC said that Iran’s armed forces targeted sensitive facilities within the occupied territories using drones and various types of missiles. These targets included jet fuel production centers and energy supply facilities affiliated with the Zionist entity.
The statement affirmed that Iran’s offensive operations would persist with the highest level of intensity and scale as long as the Zionist regime’s aggression continues. It emphasized that Iran’s response would be escalating and wide-ranging.
In a related development, the IRGC revealed that Iranian aerospace defense systems had successfully intercepted and destroyed three cruise missiles and over ten drones, in addition to dozens of small aircraft used by the Israeli military in its aerial attacks on areas inside Iran.
The statement explained that the integrated defense network, led by the country’s Joint Air Defense Headquarters, played a critical role in countering the Zionist attack and demonstrated a high level of readiness in confronting multi-directional threats.
This mutual escalation between Tehran and Tel Aviv is considered the most dangerous in decades, amid international warnings of a potential slide into an open regional war that could reshape the security landscape of the Middle East.
