The Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, met with the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, the ambassadors of Saudi Arabia and the UAE to Yemen, Mohammed Al-Jaber and Mohammed Al-Zaabi, and the ambassadors of the permanent member states of the UN Security Council.
This is according to what was published on the official account of the Office of the UN Envoy to Yemen, on his official account on the “X” platform on Monday.
The Office of the UN Envoy to Yemen said that the latter “met in Riyadh with the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, the ambassadors of Saudi Arabia and the UAE to Yemen, Mohammed Al-Jaber and Mohammed Al-Zaabi, and the ambassadors of the permanent member states of the UN Security Council.”
It pointed out that “the discussions focused on the prospects for peace in Yemen and ways to sustain regional support and push for UN mediation.”
