This Is Not a Normal War… Iran Changes the Rules of the Game, and the Houthis Expose the Hidden

NYN | News

The leader of the Houthis (Ansar Allah), Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, painted a different picture of the regional landscape, asserting that Iran’s recent strike against Israel has pushed the Israeli entity into an “unprecedented situation” in its history. At the same time, he issued strong messages to Arab countries regarding their role in allowing their airspace to be used in the Israeli aggression.

In a televised speech delivered Thursday evening, al-Houthi described the Iranian response as “destructive and effective,” stating that Israel had never faced anything like it — not even during its wars with Arab regimes.

He added that “the Zionists are now living in a state of existential fear, with some fleeing by sea to Cyprus,” amid strict Israeli media censorship preventing the documentation of the extensive damage, as he put it.

Al-Houthi accused the United States of “complicity in the aggression,” not only by providing political and military cover but also through what he called “strategic deception,” using negotiations as a façade while preparing an attack on Iran. He described this as a political and moral scandal for which Washington must be held accountable.

Touching on Iran’s nuclear file, al-Houthi emphasized that Tehran has provided ample evidence of its commitment not to pursue nuclear weapons. He argued that the real threat lies in the nuclear arsenals of both Israel and the United States, recalling America’s use of nuclear weapons in Japan.

Regarding Iran’s internal situation, al-Houthi stressed that the Islamic Republic remains strong and steadfast, with significant cohesion between its people and leadership. He asserted that Israel will not be able to achieve victory or impose defeat on a nation as large and influential as Iran.

On Arab stances, al-Houthi argued that countries allowing Israeli aircraft to use their airspace effectively become parties to the war — even if they publicly declare neutrality.

He specifically addressed Iraq, urging it to take a clear position and reject the violation of its airspace. He claimed that Israel had used the airspace of Jordan, Syria, and Iraq in its aggression, calling for a serious political and popular response.

In closing, al-Houthi rejected U.S. statements calling for Iran’s “unconditional surrender,” dismissing them as nonsense. He asserted that Iran is a free, strong, and authentic Muslim nation — incomparable to a fragile settler entity dependent on mercenaries and ready passports for escape.
