U.S. Airstrikes Cause Major Damage to Civilian Property in Sana’a

NYN | News

On Saturday evening, U.S. warplanes launched a series of airstrikes targeting the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, and the province of Hudaydah, marking a new escalation by the United States against Yemen.

Local sources reported that the U.S. strikes hit Bani Hashish district, east of Sana’a, with several air raids, though no casualties have been reported so far.

The Al-Nahda residential neighborhood, northwest of the capital, was also subjected to similar airstrikes, resulting in material damage to citizens’ homes and properties, and causing panic among residents, especially children and women who were terrified by the sound of the American missile explosions.

In Hudaydah province, U.S. warplanes carried out 13 airstrikes targeting the port of Hudaydah and its airport, posing a serious threat to vital facilities and infrastructure in the coastal city.

This escalation comes less than 48 hours after U.S. forces committed a horrific massacre against civilians at the Ras Isa oil facility, which resulted in more than 250 casualties, in one of the deadliest attacks since the escalation of aggression against Yemen.
