U.S. warplanes continued their military escalation in Yemen on Saturday evening, targeting the capital Sanaa and Saada Governorate with a series of heavy airstrikes that caused material damage and civilian injuries.
A local source reported that U.S. aircraft launched airstrikes on Bani Al-Harith District, north of the capital, using high-explosive bombs, resulting in extensive destruction of homes and shops, injuring several civilians, and spreading fear among children and women.
The source added that civil defense teams rushed to the targeted areas.
The U.S. air force also carried out strikes on Al-Sabeen District in central Sanaa, causing significant damage to properties.
In Saada Governorate, four airstrikes hit the Ketaf District, while the outskirts of Saada City were targeted by three consecutive strikes, continuing the assault on civilian areas and sources of livelihood.
This escalation comes amid ongoing international silence regarding U.S. violations against the Yemeni people, with warnings of a worsening humanitarian catastrophe as the airstrikes continue.
