“U.S. and British Forces Conduct Airstrikes on Yemen’s Hodeidah”

On Tuesday, the U.S. and British air forces carried out a number of airstrikes targeting the Hodeidah governorate in Yemen, according to the Yemeni state news agency Saba.

A security source quoted by Saba said that “the aircraft of the U.S.-British aggression targeted the Hodeidah International Airport with four airstrikes.”

This comes a day after a previous U.S. and British airstrike on the same airport, according to media outlets affiliated with the Sanaa government.

Since the beginning of this year, the U.S.-led coalition has been launching airstrikes on Yemen in response to operations carried out by Sanaa government forces against “Israel” and its ships in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Indian Ocean.

The Sanaa government’s forces say their operations are in retaliation for the “Israeli aggression and siege on Gaza.”
