U.S. forces continue their military escalation in Yemen, launching a series of heavy airstrikes across several provinces, resulting in civilian casualties and widespread damage to property and infrastructure.
A short while ago, American warplanes carried out more than nine airstrikes on various areas in the south and north of the capital, Sana’a, targeting locations around Nuqum, Sa’wan, and Hizyaz, using powerful seismic bombs.
According to local sources, the strikes caused cracks in multiple homes and shattered windows, particularly in residential neighborhoods near Nuqum Mountain in eastern Sana’a.
In Ibb province, local sources reported that U.S. aircraft targeted Al-Shamahi Mountain in Ba’dan district with three airstrikes, destroying the area’s telecommunications network.
The sources added that heavy seismic bombs were used in the attack, sparking fear and panic among residents.
Meanwhile, in Dhamar province, Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Anis Al-Asbahi confirmed that four people were injured—including one critically—after U.S. airstrikes hit a farm in the area. The victims were workers and security personnel on-site.
In Hodeidah, the Health Ministry in Sana’a announced that the death toll from the U.S. strikes on the Amin Maqbil residential neighborhood has risen to six, including three children and two women, in addition to 16 injured. The ministry warned that the toll may rise due to the severity of some injuries.
These developments come amid growing concerns over the consequences of U.S. escalation in Yemen, especially as densely populated civilian areas continue to be targeted with highly destructive weapons.
