The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that a vessel was struck by an unidentified projectile and sustained damage in the Red Sea, approximately 70 miles southwest of Al Hudaydah, Yemen.
In a statement issued on Thursday morning, the ship’s captain confirmed that the vessel had been hit by an unknown projectile. The damage did not result in any fires or human casualties.
The UKMTO added that authorities are currently investigating the incident.
The statement also noted that no crew members were injured, and the ship is continuing its journey to its next port of call.
