The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) announced today, Monday, that it has received a report regarding a maritime incident that occurred 61 nautical miles southeast of Mocha, off the coast of Yemen.
In a statement released on the platform “X,” the organization clarified that the incident took place on August 26, 2024, at 14:28 UTC. The statement added, “The UK Maritime Transport Center received a report concerning an incident in the specified area.”
The UKMTO confirmed that the relevant authorities are currently investigating the incident, noting that it has advised passing ships to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity to the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) center.
