The United States has made a generous offer to the Houthis (Ansar Allah), proposing economic sanctions relief in exchange for halting attacks on Israeli commercial ships in the Red Sea.
A report by the International Crisis Group revealed that the U.S. proposed paying salaries of employees in Houthi-controlled areas and sharing oil revenues among the involved parties, in return for stopping maritime attacks on Israeli vessels in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea. At the same time, the offer included a request to abandon the Gaza issue.
This offer was originally made last year, but Sanaa outright rejected it. It is certain that such a proposal will not be accepted by the Houthis, who have set clear conditions for halting their attacks, including ending the war on Gaza, lifting the blockade, and allowing the entry of humanitarian aid, including food and medicine, into the besieged territory.
