Clashes between Sana’a forces and U.S. troops in the Red Sea have reignited, amid an escalating pace of confrontations and an expanding scope of military operations in the region.
In the early hours of Wednesday, the spokesperson for Sana’a forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced that the naval forces, missile units, and drone air force carried out an attack targeting the U.S. aircraft carrier Truman and several American warships in the Red Sea. This marked the third confrontation in just 24 hours.
In a televised military statement, Saree said the operation was a direct response to U.S. aggression against Yemen, affirming that attacks on hostile warships will continue with increasing intensity.
He also noted that Sana’a’s operations against the “Israeli enemy” will persist in order to block Israeli navigation in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, and to strike its military and strategic infrastructure—until the genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza is halted and the siege is lifted.
Saree emphasized that these actions are part of Sana’a’s declared position in support of the Palestinian cause, stressing that the attacks will not stop until the aggression on Gaza ends and the blockade is lifted.
