Bulletins issued by the National Center of Meteorology indicate that the country is heading toward a sharp drop in temperatures during the coming hours of the night and early morning, with expectations of extremely cold weather in several mountainous governorates.

According to the meteorological forecasts, the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, and Al-Bayda—along with the highlands of Al-Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, and Ibb, as well as western Al-Jawf and southern Marib—will experience temperatures ranging between 0 and 4°C, with the possibility of frost forming in some areas.

Cold weather is also expected in the highlands of Hadhramaut, Shabwa, Taiz, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, and Hajjah.

The center urged citizens—especially the elderly, children, patients, and those working at night—to exercise caution and take necessary measures to protect themselves from the cold. It also called on farmers to safeguard their crops and advised travelers heading to cold areas to prepare for the anticipated frost wave.
