Upcoming Nights Bring Surprises in Yemen’s Weather… and Serious Warnings Issued

NYN | News

The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning reported today that the weather will remain cold to relatively cold over the coming hours across several highland and mountainous areas in Yemen.

According to the weather bulletin, governorates such as Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, and Ibb will experience a noticeable drop in temperatures, with lows expected to range between 4 and 10 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the highlands of Shabwah, Abyan, Lahj, Al-Dhalea, and Taiz will see milder conditions, though temperatures are likely to decrease during the night and early morning hours.

The Center issued a warning to citizens—particularly the elderly, children, and those working during early or late hours—urging them to wear warm clothing and take preventive measures against the cold.

It also called on farmers to protect their crops from potential frost waves, noting that while such climatic conditions are normal for this season, caution remains necessary to avoid health or agricultural damage.
