Walla (Hebrew): Retreat of the War Option Disrupts Occupation Calculations and Strengthens Iranian Deterrence
Growing concern in Israeli security circles over Washington–Tehran rapprochement and the prospects of an agreement that would restrict any unilateral military move against Iran

NYN | Reports and Analyses
The Hebrew-language website Walla has revealed a state of growing anxiety prevailing within the intelligence and security circles of the occupation entity, against the backdrop of recent diplomatic developments between the United States and Iran. These developments carry indications of a possible agreement—referred to as a “safe-haven agreement”—that could formally constrain the occupation’s ability to carry out any unilateral military action against Tehran.
Troubling Precedents Within the Security Establishment
The report noted that these concerns are rooted in recent precedents, most notably what occurred during the 12-day war, when former U.S. President Donald Trump intervened at the last moments before the ceasefire took effect and issued direct orders that prevented the execution of airstrikes targeting vital Iranian facilities.
Iran Addresses Vulnerabilities and Fortifies Its Capabilities
According to what were described as “foreign” sources, Iran moved swiftly following those developments to conduct a thorough review of the vulnerabilities previously exploited by its adversaries. It reportedly transferred parts of its defense industries to underground facilities, rebuilt solid-fuel production facilities for ballistic missiles, and redistributed vital installations geographically in order to complicate intelligence surveillance and future attacks.
Political Agreement or Recognition of Deterrence?
Observers cited by Walla believe that the so-called “safe-haven agreement” does not necessarily reflect a technical settlement as much as it constitutes an implicit acknowledgment of Iran’s deterrent power and Tehran’s ability to impose its equations through political channels parallel to military escalation and media pressure—contributing to the emergence of a new reality that runs counter to the occupation entity’s aspirations and traditional options.
