War Footage: What Is Hidden in the U.S. Central Command Clips?

NYN | News

Washington has indirectly acknowledged the resilience of Sana’a forces and the effectiveness of their operations in the Red Sea through a new statement issued Sunday by U.S. Central Command, which confirmed that naval clashes are ongoing around the clock—an explicit indication of the unprecedented escalation in Yemen.

The statement noted that aerial operations are being conducted 24/7, accompanied by a video clip showing continuous launches of F/A-18 fighter jets during both day and night, without pause—reflecting the state of maximum alert aboard U.S. aircraft carriers.

While similar footage had been released by U.S. Command in past months, the timing of the latest video is notable—it came just hours after the spokesperson for Sana’a forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced a precision attack on the USS Truman and its accompanying vessels using drones and ballistic missiles in an operation that lasted several hours.

What distinguishes this American media move is its coincidence with a noticeable decline in the number of airstrikes on Yemen. Only a few raids were reported, targeting civilian areas in Sa’ada and Kamaran Island—compared to previous periods where the country witnessed an average of 90 airstrikes daily. This supports Sana’a’s claim that the latest engagement was the fiercest and most impactful to date.

This escalation is seen as a clear indicator of a shift in the balance of power in the Red Sea, where Washington no longer holds the initiative but has instead been pushed into a defensive posture in the face of Yemeni strikes.
