Internal repercussions continue to mount in Israel since the onset of the war with Iran, with alarming figures pointing to widespread public and psychological unrest.
The Hebrew-language newspaper Calcalist revealed in recent hours that the number of Israelis displaced by the war has reached 9,318 people, including 7,010 who were urgently relocated to hotels—marking one of the largest internal evacuations in years.
In the same context, the Israeli Compensation Fund has received 32,717 compensation claims so far, indicating the scale of damage inflicted on property and businesses as a result of the escalation with Tehran.
Meanwhile, Haaretz reported on a different kind of exodus, revealing that around 25,000 requests have been submitted to book outbound flights from Israel via El Al Airlines since registration opened on Saturday evening. The paper described this as a direct response to rising fears of possible Iranian retaliatory strikes.
The domestic scene in Israel shows that the impact of the war has extended far beyond the military frontlines. It has penetrated deep into society, driving thousands of settlers to seek safety beyond the country’s borders, amid growing warnings of a widening conflict and an increasingly elusive resolution.
