Yemen’s territorial waters continue to experience seismic activity, as the Seismic and Volcanic Monitoring and Study Center in Dhamar Governorate recorded four earthquakes on Wednesday, ranging from light to moderate in intensity, with the strongest measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale.
The center reported that the earthquakes occurred east of the Gulf of Aden. The first tremor, measuring 4.1, was recorded at 7:10 PM, followed by two consecutive tremors of 3.9 at 7:46 PM and 10:22 PM, while the fourth and strongest tremor, measuring 4.5, occurred at 1:25 AM.
Meanwhile, the center’s monitoring stations recorded several distant seismic events in Japan, Ethiopia, and Cyprus over the past hours.
