The Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Kuwait announced the launch of a new package of consular services aimed at resolving issues related to official documents for Yemeni residents in Kuwait. This initiative comes with the arrival of a specialized committee from the Yemeni Ministry of Interior to provide passport and personal ID card issuance services.
Committee for Passport Issuance for Revoked Nationals
The embassy clarified in an official announcement that the committee will begin accepting applications for Yemeni passports for citizens who have not previously registered in the database, particularly Yemenis whose Kuwaiti nationality has been revoked. The embassy called on eligible individuals to visit the embassy to meet with the specialized committee no later than 29 December 2025, ensuring they bring all passports and relevant identification documents.
Issuance of Smart Personal ID Cards
In a separate announcement, the embassy’s consular section confirmed the presence of a specialized committee to issue smart personal ID cards. Visitors are required to complete the approved application form, provide the old ID card if available, submit a certified birth certificate, present the current or previous passport, and fulfill other official requirements.
Organizing Records and Improving Services
The embassy emphasized that these services will be provided at the embassy building in the Zahra area – Block 5 – Street 501, with adherence to the prescribed fees. It stressed that this step is part of efforts to organize official records and enhance the efficiency of consular services, facilitating transactions for Yemeni citizens residing in Kuwait and improving the overall level of service provided to them.
