Sanaa has accumulated extensive experience in dealing with American drones, and the downing of MQ-9 aircraft has become a recurring event, demonstrating the advancement of its air defense capabilities.
The spokesperson for the Armed Forces in Sanaa, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, confirmed that air defenses successfully shot down a hostile American MQ-9 drone on Sunday evening while it was conducting hostile operations over Hajjah Governorate. He noted that the drone was brought down using a locally made surface-to-air missile.
Saree explained that this marks the fourth MQ-9 drone shot down in the past two weeks, and the nineteenth since the launch of the “Promised Conquest and Sacred Jihad” campaign in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
He added that the ongoing American aggression has not weakened the military capabilities of Sanaa’s forces, emphasizing that such attacks will only lead to further failure and disappointment for the aggressor powers.
Saree reaffirmed that Sanaa’s military operations in support of the Palestinian people will continue until the Israeli aggression ends and the blockade on Gaza is lifted.
