The deadline set by Yemen for Israel has sparked widespread international media attention, with anticipation regarding the escalation’s outcome and its impact on the course of the conflict in the region.
Former Egyptian parliament member Gamal Zahran praised the role played by the Yemeni front in supporting Palestinian resistance, considering it one of the strongest and most effective support fronts for Gaza in terms of strategic impact, despite the distance between Yemen and the occupied Palestinian territories.
Zahran emphasized in a statement to “Arab Journal” that Yemen’s support marks a significant shift in the Arab-Israeli conflict, as it is no longer limited to neighboring countries like Egypt, Lebanon, and Syria, but Yemen now plays an active role in the equation.
He extended his respect to Yemen, particularly acknowledging the leader of the Houthis (Ansar Allah), Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, praising his speeches supporting Palestinian resistance.
Zahran also confirmed that al-Houthi’s steadfast position, in which he pledged to continue military operations against Israel if the blockade or aggression on Gaza persists, reflects a strong commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause.
