Zionist Diplomat Admits: Israel’s Image as a Genocidal and Racist Entity Has Become Entrenched in Western Consciousness

A Zionist diplomat has acknowledged the occupation entity’s failure in the battle for global public opinion, admitting that its image as an entity practicing genocide and apartheid has become a growing “cultural baseline” in the West, particularly within the United States.

David Ben-Basat, Deputy Head of the Consular Staff and Vice President of the Ambassadors Club in occupied Jaffa (known as Tel Aviv), wrote in an article published by the Hebrew newspaper Maariv that the Palestinian narrative is spreading widely and unprecedentedly across Western circles, pointing to a notable shift in the positions of intellectual and media elites regarding the reality of the occupation.

The Erosion of the “Victim State” Image

Ben-Basat explained that the occupation entity is no longer viewed as a “small state struggling to survive,” a perception that has led to a continuous erosion of its international legitimacy—particularly within American society, where public criticism of its policies in the occupied Palestinian territories is steadily increasing.

The Failure of Propaganda in the Digital Age

The Zionist diplomat admitted that Israeli propaganda tools continue to operate according to outdated, traditional models that are incompatible with the nature of today’s digital environment, at a time when younger generations rely heavily on social media platforms—chief among them TikTok—as primary sources of information and political awareness.

American Universities at the Forefront of the Shift

Ben-Basat confirmed that declining support for “Israel” is becoming increasingly evident among American youth, especially within universities and liberal circles, where the Zionist entity is widely presented as an apartheid system lacking any moral legitimacy.

An Admission of Strategic Failure

The official concluded that the adoption of this anti-occupation discourse by Western intellectuals and media figures represents a serious strategic failure, reflecting a genuine loss in the narrative battle upon which the occupation entity has long relied in the West.
